Langton. Away from the pandemic, a glance at the world of books, film & TV…
Cultural Month – April 2021:
We’ve been cautiously told that the pandemic, at least in the UK, is in retreat. This is good news, of course, but there has been plenty of other stuff going on.
The Mighty Hull City have been crowned as Division I champions, the weather broke just in time for the pubs to reopen outdoors and the lawnmower’s busted. All the more reason to get down to the odd good book and catch up on a bit of telly.
• Books – Dog of the South, The Signal & the Noise and Pop. 1,280
• Films – Life of Brian and, for our sins, the Sharknado series
• Other – The Queen’s Gambit and Chernobyl on TV alongside the chance to catch a few beers in the rain.
There are links to earlier months on the website.
All the best with the continued path reopening & suggestions as to what to read, watch, eat & drink always welcome!
