Away from the pandemic, a glance at the world of books, film and TV…
Cultural Month – June 2021:So, we’ve got the football on Sunday, the ‘irreversible’ unlocking of the economy to follow just a week later and, with a bit of luck, the sun will shine and maybe, just maybe, holidays will become a thing again. Anyway, with the partial lockdown still in force beyond the original ‘irreversible’ date of 21 June, there was plenty to do indoors. HERE are a few highlights from June where we’re considering: • Books – Boris, Camino Island and The Basic Laws of Stupidity • Films – Little Shop of Horrors (quite a treat) • TV – The Euros (what else?) • Other – A cottage holiday in the UK, a brush with a Cabinet Minister & more There are links to earlier months on the website. All the best with the continued path towards reopening & suggestions as to what to read, watch, eat & drink always welcome! |
