The OECD says that the fight against inflation must go on. UBS has bought Switzerland’s second largest bank, Credit Suisse, for £2.7billion in what has been termed a shotgun marriage. The Swiss central bank says ‘a solution has been found to secure financial stability and protect the Swiss economy in this exceptional situation’.
