DGE, ROO, Chipotle, trading, costs, jobs market & other:A DAY IN THE LIFE: So, a bit of sun and the editors will be in a quandary as to whether they should kick their wide-eyed interns to get stories out about ice-cream and sun-block sales or dust off the ‘UK hotter than Majorca’ blurb that they re-run once or twice every year. Or, as is more than likely, they could run both but meanwhile, as we at the coalface try to sit outside to get a bit of work done, we’re reminded once again that, in March at least, when the sun goes behind a cloud it can cool down from 15 to 5 degrees pretty darn quickly. In addition, you can’t read your screen when the sun shines and you can’t stop shaking when it doesn’t. The wind will blow your papers all over the garden, your battery will go flat and then a fly, where did that come from, clearly thinking that there is nowhere else in the entire world for it to put down, will land drop in your tea. And, at that point, and vaguely aware that sunbathing with a hat and coat on isn’t altogether a convincing look, you might give it up till June. Anyway, the Mighty Hull City extended their not-losing streak to two games on Saturday. Nothing to shout about but better than recent form and, with that in mind, let’s move on to the news: LANGTON EMAIL: The Free Email is now written in short form.
